Podmenti
Read the transcript of any podcast episode
Podmenti is the front door to every transcript the studio makes. Search any public podcast, 4.7 million of them, open an episode, and read it. If we already have it, it opens instantly. If we don't, you request it and get a link by email, usually within the hour. Reading is free.

Why it exists
Bookmenti had been transcribing podcasts for months, and the transcripts were just sitting there - thousands of hours of them, only ever read by a language model looking for book titles. That felt like a waste. So Podmenti became the place where a person can read them too, and ask for the episodes we haven't done yet. It went live on 31 August 2026, built entirely on the pipeline Bookmenti already had, with zero changes to the backend.
How it works
You search for a show (every public feed counts, not just the ones we index), tick the episodes you want, and leave an email. Requests jump to the front of the transcription queue on our own machine, and the moment they settle you get a link per episode. Reading is free and stays free. Money comes from speed and bulk: a rented GPU lane for when you want it in minutes, credit packs for heavy use, and an API for people who want to build on it.
The bigger idea
Podmenti is the parent brand of what I call the Menti Network. One transcription engine, many lenses: Bookmenti reads the transcripts for books, and AI Search on Podmenti lets you point the same kind of extraction at any topic - brands, people, claims, whatever you are after. Every new lens makes the shared library more valuable, and the library grows every single day.
What you get
- Any episode, not just ours
- Search covers the open Podcast Index. If a show publishes public audio, we can transcribe it, and the episodes we already have open on the spot.
- Timestamps that stay right
- Podcast audio changes after publishing as ads get swapped in and out. We detect the change and re-align every timestamp, on every plan.
- Every format, forever
- Unlock an episode once and it is yours: plain text, timestamped text, .srt, .vtt and word-level JSON, on the site and through the API.
